Oak Ridge Water Damage
The standing water from the rainstorm has begun to warp and lift the hardwood flooring in this Oak Ridge home. Our SERVPRO technicians can quickly remove the visible water with wet-vacs and then focus on the hidden pockets of moisture. By placing floor mats attached to a powerful pump we can pull the water droplets from between the plank joints and also the subflooring. Fast action mitigated damage to the flooring thus saving it from having to be replaced at a high cost. The After Photo shows some of our green equipment increasing circulation and also plucking the airborne moisture restoring a normal RH relative humidity to the affected room. After some days, checking with moisture meters to verify a constant moisture content of the wood at about 12%, we can refinish the beautiful and expensive hardwood flooring "Like it never even happened."
